    Applying is easy and will take you about ten minutes to complete directly in the AMP Bank app. You’ll need a valid form of identification. Your Mastercard Debit card will arrive by mail soon after we’ve approved your application.

    There are no ongoing account management fees, including for regular deposits or withdrawals. Some fees and charges for special services may apply, such as a duplicate statement fee. Read our Deposit products fees and charges guide for more information.

    The Australian Government guarantee protects combined deposits up to $250,000 per customer in the unlikely event that a financial institution fails.

    Currently, the new AMP Bank app offers Everyday accounts for personal and business banking, along with a range of exciting new features designed for a seamless banking experience. And this is only the beginning, with more features and products being built as we speak – stay tuned!

    Ready to join? Download the AMP Bank app and set up a new Everyday Account or Everyday Business Account.

    It’s totally up to you. If you’re ready to dive into the future of banking, then joining is easy. If you’re not quite ready, that’s okay too – you can continue using your Transaction Account in the My AMP app just like you have been.

    You won’t be automatically switched over. The new experience has been built from the ground up, so you’ll need to sign up fresh – get started here.

    If you’re an existing customer and want to sign up to new the banking experience, you’ll need to download the new AMP Bank app. Think of it like upgrading your money toolkit! You can still use the My AMP app for your existing accounts alongside the new one.

    The AMP Bank app is a completely reimagined way to manage your money – more intuitive, smarter and designed to make your everyday personal and business banking easier. A few examples are:

    • Manage your money with Spaces with goal setting and achieve your goal faster by round up.
    • Track your transactions with the spend tracker,
    • Pay with PAYID with no limits on transfers.
    • Other features coming soon are deposits at Australia Post, OSKO, and Xero Bank feeds to manage your business accounting etc.

    While My AMP offers all the features and benefits you know and love, the new AMP Bank app experience brings in the best tech, new and improved features, all at the tap of your phone.

    Not quite. You’ll need to open your shiny new Everyday personal or business account yourself. It only takes a few minutes – just have your photo ID and selfie skills ready!

     

    Once that's done, if you would like to close your existing account, here’s a few steps to follow:

    • Transfer your funds from your My AMP account to your account wth the AMP Bank app (don’t forget the new BSB number 939-900).
    • When your old account has a nil balance, send us a secure message via My AMP to close it for you.

    Tip: Note down all your payee details before closing your old account, so you can set them up in the new AMP Bank app.
