Of the 18 million Australians with super, around 22% have more than one account*.

If that’s you, there may be advantages to rolling your accounts into one super fund, including:

    • Saving money

One super fund means one set of fees, potentially saving you hundreds of dollars each year and thousands over a lifetime.

    • Saving time

Having one fund is easier to keep track of, with less paperwork and administration.

    • Finding super

You can find super you didn't know about, as part of your consolidation.

    • Review your investments

With one super account, it's easier to manage an investment strategy to meet your needs.

    Apply to transfer your insurance

If you have insurance with another super fund, you can apply to transfer your insurance so it’s all in one place with AMP (if you still need it). A financial adviser can assist you with determining your insurance needs, or please contact us. To apply to transfer your insurance to AMP Super, log in to My AMP and select ‘Transfer insurance’ under the insurance tab, or contact us.  Eligibility criteria exist. It’s important to wait until we confirm acceptance before cancelling any existing insurance. Learn more

    Before you consolidate

Be sure to check if there are any potential costs from your other fund or loss of benefits (such as pensions) by consolidating. If you intend on claiming a tax deduction for personal contributions, you will need to do this before closing your other account. Finally, be sure to tell your employer if your account details change.

    Ready to consolidate?

    It’s easy

Before you consolidate your super, you should consider whether you want to keep any of the features and benefits you currently have in your other super funds, to make sure you're not losing anything important to you.
