    About the Fund

    The Experts’ Choice Short-term Money Market Fund (the Fund) aims to provide a stable return on investment with a low level of capital loss over any timeframe. The Fund currently engages a single manager to manage the Fund’s investments, with exposure to Australian money market securities, including overnight cash and cash-like investments such as term deposits via a cash management trust.

      

    • Objective

      To provide low but stable returns over the short term with low risk of capital losses, which exceed the Fund's performance benchmark after costs and before tax.

    • Target audience

      This product is likely to be appropriate for a consumer seeking capital preservation and regular income to be used as a satellite/core holding within a portfolio where the consumer has a short to medium investment timeframe and a very low risk/return profile.

    • Withdrawal frequency

      Withdrawals are allowed daily. Withdrawals are normally processed within 5 business days. The constitution allows for payments to be made within 30 calendar days.

    What are the risks? 

    The Fund may be suitable for a consumer with a conservative or very low risk profile, seeking to minimise potential losses (eg has the ability to bear up to 1 negative return over a 20-year period (SRM 1)) and is comfortable with a very low target return profile.

    Investment objective To provide low but stable returns over the short term with low risk of capital losses, which exceed the Fund's performance benchmark after costs and before tax. The benchmark for the fund is Bloomberg AusBond Bank Bill Index.
    Investment approach The Fund currently engages a single manager to manage investments. The Fund's exposure is to Australian money market securities, including overnight cash, cash-like investments such as term deposits and cash management trusts. The Fund invests in a diversified range of investment grade Australian money market securities, including cash-like investments with short term maturities such as prime bank bills, commercial paper and term deposits. The Fund may also invest in medium term securities including floating rate notes and asset backed securities. Where it is consistent with the Fund's investment objectives, the Fund may also invest in other financial products such as other managed funds and securities.
