    Specialist Diversified Fixed Income Fund

    Blends a portfolio of strategies that invest in Australian and global fixed income securities including government bonds, government-related bonds, inflation linked and corporate bonds, as well as asset backed securities, cash derivatives and foreign currency.

      

    • Objective

      To provide total returns (interest income and capital growth) after costs and before tax, above the performance benchmark over rolling 3 year periods.

    • Target audience

      This product is likely to be appropriate for a consumer seeking capital preservation and potentially some capital growth and regular income to be used as a satellite/core holding within a portfolio where the consumer has a medium to long investment timeframe and a medium risk/return profile.

    • Withdrawal frequency

      Withdrawals are allowed daily. Withdrawals are normally processed within 5 business days. The constitution allows for payments to be made within 21 calendar days.

    What are the risks

    The Fund may be suitable for a consumer with a moderate or medium risk profile, seeking to minimise potential losses (eg has the ability to bear up to 3 negative returns over a 20-year period (SRM 4)) and is comfortable with a moderate return.

    Investment objective To provide total returns (interest income and capital growth) after costs and before tax, above the performance benchmark over rolling 3 year periods. The fund will be managed to reflect the risk and return characteristics of the fixed interest market as represented by the fund's benchmark. The fund employs a multi-manager approach appointing and blending a number of underlying investment funds. The performance benchmark for the fund is 60% Bloomberg AusBond Composite 0+ Yr Index and 40% Bloomberg Global Aggregate Index (Hedged to AUD). The Fund's tracking error is not expected to exceed 1.5% p.a. as measured over rolling 3 year periods.
    Investment approach The fund normally invests in Australian and global fixed interest income securities including government securities, government-related securities, inflation linked securities, corporate securities, asset-backed securities, cash, derivatives and foreign currency.
