How do I stop a periodic payment?
- Login or register for My AMP
- Choose Manage scheduled payments from the I want to menu
- You'll see your scheduled payment listed. You can Edit or Delete them by clicking on the icons on the right hand side of the table.
You can also call us on 13 30 30 or send us a written request to cancel or stop a periodical payment.
How do I stop or cancel a direct debit?
We can do it for you. You can contact us on 13 30 30 Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday and 9am to 5pm (AEST) and we will promptly arrange for the direct debit to be cancelled or you can logon to My AMP and send us a secure message to cancel a direct debit. You can also contact the merchant that the direct debit is set up with and request them to stop the direct debit.
How do I stop or cancel a recurring payment?
You should notify the individual or merchant before the next transaction is due. If the merchant does not cancel the recurring payment as per your request, you may be eligible for a chargeback. Contact us on 13 30 30 for more information.
What is the difference between a direct debit, a recurring payment and a periodical payment?
- A direct debit is a debit from your AMP Bank account that you arrange through a merchant or another bank or another AMP Bank account for example, your gym membership.
- A recurring payment is a regular payment that is set up with a merchant using your 16- digit Visa Debit card number.
- A periodical payment is a regular transfer of funds from your AMP account to another AMP or other bank, building society or credit union account.
