About the Fund

Blends a portfolio of strategies that invest primarily in shares listed or expected to be listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Small companies are generally those defined as being outside the top 100 of the ASX.

Objective

The benchmark for the Fund is the S&P / ASX Small Ordinaries Accumulation Index.

Target audience

Appropriate for a consumer seeking capital growth to be used as a satellite/core holding within a portfolio where the consumer has a medium to long investment timeframe and a very high risk/return profile.

Withdrawal frequency

Withdrawals are allowed daily. Withdrawals are normally processed within 5 business days. The constitution allows for payments to be made within 30 calendar days.

What are the risks?

The Fund may be suitable for a consumer with a more aggressive or very high risk appetite, seeking to maximise returns and can accept higher potential losses (eg has the ability to bear more than 6 negative returns over a 20-year period (SRM 7)) in order to target a higher return.

Investment objective
The benchmark for the Fund is the S&P / ASX Small Ordinaries Accumulation Index. To provide total returns (income and capital growth) after costs and before tax, above the performance benchmark on a rolling 3 year basis.
Investment approach
The Fund normally invests primarily in shares in small companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Smaller companies are generally those defined as being outside the top 100 companies listed on the ASX. However, there is some ability for managers to invest in those stocks in the Top 50-100 band if allowed for in the individual managers mandate. Up to 20% of the Fund may be invested in unlisted companies that are believed to be likely to be listed in the next 12 months on the ASX.
